DRAWING FROM NATURE PAPYRUS as Symbol of Life Garden and flower appreciation is strongly rooted in Egyptian culture. From ancient times gardens were filled with flowers like lily, lotus, papyrus plant which were highly appreciated, but also iris, poppy and acanthus.
DRAWING FROM NATURE LOTUS as Symbol of Rebirth Garden and flower appreciation is strongly rooted in Egyptian culture. From ancient times gardens were filled with flowers like lily, lotus, papyrus plant which were highly appreciated, but also iris, poppy and acanthus. The aim of the landscape design proposal is to bring urban narratives that introduces nature back to the city. The floral narratives reflects also upon the cultural myths of ancient Egypt.
DRAWING FROM NATURE In ancient Egyptian culture, iris flowers apparently played a role as symbols of victory, rule, and power. Iris's three upright petals are said to symbolize faith, valor and wisdom. The Greek word ‘iris’ meant rainbow from which the name of the goddess-messenger Iris was derived.
